Orot's 11th Annual Dance Department Conference
Last month, Orot Israel College hosted the 11th Annual Religious State Education (Mamlachti Dati) High School Dance Programs Conference.
This inspiring and meaningful event brought together students from dance programs at girls' high schools (ulpanot) across Israel, who gathered at the Elkana campus to celebrate movement, creativity, learning, and the connection between body and soul.
Throughout the day, each school presented a selected dance repertoire that its students had prepared especially for the conference. More than performances, these works expressed powerful messages about the students' lives, reflecting on the challenges they have faced over the past two years during the war through the language of dance.
Participants also took part in enriching lectures and hands-on workshops led by professionals in the field of dance. The highlight of the conference was the final performance, where each school's dance program showcased the repertoire they had developed together.
The event concluded with a competition in which the winning school's students were awarded a scholarship toward their first year of undergraduate studies in Orot Israel College's B.Ed. Dance Program.
